Gabel Delivers Walk-Off Win for Knights
Noah Quick had a good game, but he could not keep the Wilkes-Barre Barons from falling, 9-7, to the Charlotte Knights at Hustlers Stadium. The Wilkes-Barre shortstop went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Charlotte reliever Fletcher Spencer picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Joseph Hall took the loss. The Knights sport a record of 28-51.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ferris Gabel in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Joseph Hall to win the game for Charlotte. The home crowd went nuts.

"This joint was rocking," said Gabel.
