Cleveland pitcher Fay Rowland had a large part in his team beating the New York Mets, 9-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The 'W' lifts Cleveland's record to 22-18.

Nick Dunstan had a big 3-run home run for the Indians in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Cleveland leading 6-3 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Randy Castriotta and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Indians on top, 9-3.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Dunstan.
