Dundies Earn 3-1 Road Win Over Rochester
|
In a low-scoring contest, Scranton pitcher Marty Sprout was marvelous in his team's 3-1 win. The third-place Dundies improved to 41-32.
Wyndham Giles, the 31-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Giles contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Scranton up, 2-1.
"Bottom line," said Rochester skipper Jon Oliver, "we didn't play well enough to win."
