Norfolk Rallies for 3-1 Victory

Though the conditions were not ideal, the Norfolk Tides and Pawtucket Red Sox came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
Starting pitcher Emerson Castillo gave the Norfolk Tides a rock-solid effort. The Garden City Park, New York native helped his team defeat the Pawtucket Red Sox, 3-1, at McCoy Stadium. Norfolk, now 38-36, holds down 4th place in the International League Southwest Division.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Cody Betancourt? The 25-year old catcher Betancourt stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Norfolk up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Tough loss," said Pawtucket manager Daniel Holcombe. "But we'll learn from it."
