Bisons Earn 3-2 Win Versus Clippers
|
The Columbus Clippers got a superb performance from pitcher Declan Ogles, but the Buffalo Bisons still won the game, 3-2. Ogles threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Chuckie Milliken, now 2-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Bill Fahey earned save number 19 this season.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, catcher Obiku Hughes came through big-time for the Bisons. With Buffalo trailing 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"Good win for us," said Hughes. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
Buffalo has a record of 47-22, placing them second in the International League Northeast Division.
