Clippers Win Squeaker, 5-4, Over Oddballs
|
The Columbus Clippers besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Ottawa right fielder Ian Guiliano by beating the Oddballs, 5-4, at Huntington Park. Guiliano was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Columbus has now won 3 in a row.
Columbus took a 5-4 lead on Marshall Schaefer's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Schaefer hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Ottawa pitcher Jodie Callahan visibly frustrated.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Schaefer told the Columbus News. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
