Cork Helps Clippers Beat Red Sox, 9-6
Columbus and Pawtucket duked it out and the Clippers came out victorious.

Good production from first baseman Axl Cork helped the Columbus Clippers topple the Pawtucket Red Sox, 9-6. Cork was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Clippers. The 4th-place Clippers go to 33-31.

Columbus used a clutch at-bat from Marshall Schaefer to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Clippers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It's fun when you can help the team win games," said Schaefer.
