Miami Marlins starter Connor Halbig pitched a strong game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, leading the Marlins to victory, 5-3. The winning pitcher was Halbig, now 13-6. It could have been a different outcome for Miami, had it not been for Sebastian Gates, the former first round draft pick . Gates contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Miami up, 3-1.
