Roderigo Swartz never let Portland get something going. The Cleveland right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Indians to a 2-0 win. Ken Quinones recorded the save for Cleveland, his 26th of the season. The victory gives Cleveland a record of 88-49.

Jackson Seagraves dealt the Hops a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Cleveland leading 1-0, Seagraves hit a 1-0 splitter for a run-scoring single.

"Roderigo throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Cleveland manager Justin Jackson.
