Angels Clip Dodgers, 1-0
|
Los Angeles got a valiant performance from pitcher Christopher James, but it wasn't enough to beat the California Angels. California won the game, 1-0. James threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The Angels now have a record of 87-50 with the win over Los Angeles.
Adrian Phillips was the walk-off hero for California. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Angels first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Tony Lozano. "That was the problem."
