Red Sox Get Dramatic 3-2 Win
|
Pawtucket Red Sox starter Clement Smith turned in a sparkling performance against the Charlotte Knights, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Isaiah Carrasco was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Andrés Carillo. Pawtucket is now 24-33, while Charlotte is 21-36.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Pawtucket. That's when Yueh-Ping Lin hit a run-scoring double off 35-year old right-handed pitcher Andrés Carillo to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"Our fans made themselves heard," said Smith.
