The Buffalo Bisons defeated the Rochester Norsemen, 9-7, in 10 innings. Much of the credit belonged to left fielder Seth Morvant, who was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Bisons. Eugene Washington, credited with the save, is now 14 for 15 in save opportunities. The triumph puts Buffalo at 36-24 for the season.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Morvant delivered big-time for Buffalo, stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Kelley Graser. The game-changing hit put the Bisons on top, 9-5.

Morvant said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
