5-0 Loss Deepens Toledo Funk
|
Columbus pitcher DeReece Reagor had a large part in his team beating the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Columbus is now 36-21, Toledo 21-36.
The Clippers got a big at-bat from third baseman Dylan Espino. For the game, Espino was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Columbus a 2-0 lead.
"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Toledo manager Tony Cerda.
