Dundies 3-1 Victors Over Grizzlies
|
In a tight tilt between Scranton and Maine, pitcher Cato Ambros was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 3-1 Dundies win. The win belonged to Max Fagundes in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Luther Hara took the loss for Maine. Layton Whaley, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
Had Ryan Silva not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Silva hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Dundies.
"Cato did a nice job," said Dundies manager Johnny Hales.
The win makes Scranton 26-32.
