Grizzlies Deal Bisons 3-2 Setback
|
The Maine Grizzlies and Buffalo Bisons played an entertaining game for Chukchansi Park patrons.
The Maine Grizzlies had to overcome a fine effort from Buffalo pitcher Freddie Mercado to win, 3-2, at Chukchansi Park. Mercado went 6 innings and allowed no runs. By defeating Buffalo, the 5th-place Grizzlies improved to 28-29.
Don Young chipped in a solo home run for Maine in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Young.
