Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Toledo Mud Hens got the win.

The Toledo Mud Hens had to overcome a fine effort from Rochester pitcher Roland Mullins to win, 4-2, at Fifth Third Field. Mullins went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Reliever Pio Cardenas picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Gottfried Lyon took the loss.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Oscar Schwab came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Rochester pitcher Gottfried Lyon, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Toledo on top, 4-2.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Rochester manager Pierrick Gardella.

Toledo is now 24-32.
