The Wilkes-Barre Barons and Scranton Dundies played an exciting game.

A good performance from catcher Germaine Beckett helped the Wilkes-Barre Barons defeat the Scranton Dundies, 4-2. Beckett was 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs for the Barons. Wilkes-Barre reliever Renny Leech picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Mikey Banda absorbed the loss. Gabriel Balboa closed the game out for Wilkes-Barre, earning his 4th save.

The Barons got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Cavonté Merlin. For the game, Merlin went 1-1 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Wilkes-Barre a 4-2 lead.

"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Wilkes-Barre skipper Hector Vidal.

The win makes Wilkes-Barre 25-31.
