The Charlotte Knights beat the Norfolk Tides, 9-5, at Hustlers Stadium. The Knights got a fine performance from second baseman Vic Quiñones, who was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The triumph puts Charlotte at 29-27 for the season.

The Knights got an important contribution from shortstop Elvis Dolley, who in the bottom of the first punched a 0-2 fastball into center for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Knights ahead, 3-0.
