Bisons Spill Chiefs, 3-1
|
The Buffalo Bisons got a magnificent effort from pitcher Logan Miller, who kept Syracuse hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Bisons win at Victory Field. Miller yielded no runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 1-2. Buffalo is now 25-25, Syracuse 23-27.
José Maria Caban had a direct impact on the outcome. Caban contributed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Buffalo up, 3-0.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Miller. "Successful pitchers do it."
