Charlotte Gets 7-1 Win Against Bats
|
Louisville had no answer for 33-year old right-handed pitcher Nathaniel Murphy. The Charlotte Knights starter stymied Bats hitters, helping the Knights cruise to victory, 7-1. Payton Frye, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. With the win over Louisville, the Knights improved to 23-28.
Charlotte left fielder NapĆ³leon Alcantara delivered a solo home run in the top of the fourth. Overall, he went 3 for 5, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 2.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Alcantara said (again).
