Dundies Take Tight Tango, 3-2
The Scranton Dundies eked out a 3-2 win versus the Newark Bears at PNC Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Jeffrey Deal. He was terrific. Layton Whaley came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. At 22-28, the Dundies claim 6th place in the International League Northeast Division.

Ryan Silva was the walk-off hero for Scranton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dundies shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Well, it's always frustrating to lose," said Newark manager Kyle Hughes.
