Lepak Pops Two Homers in 11-5 Win for Minnesota
The Minnesota Twins defeated the Virginia Black Bears, 11-5, at Target Field. Leading the charge for Minnesota was first baseman Edward Lepak. He was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Josiah Edgerton. His record now stands at 2-2. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits for the Twins. Simeon Ayala notched his 1st save of the season.

Zach Leddy had a big 2-run home run for the Twins in the bottom of the first inning. With Minnesota leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Cápulet Jaramillo, who is tied for 9th in the EAST in strikeouts with 44, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Twins on top, 3-0.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Minnesota manager Connor Sandstrom.

The win gives the Twins a record of 12-26.
