Scranton parlayed a decent outing from starter Jonathan Lunsford into a solid win over the Charlotte Knights. The final score was 5-2. Lunsford, now 2-6, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jeremiah Masias.

It could have been a different outcome for Scranton, had it not been for Toby Brooks, the 25-year old third baseman . Brooks contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Scranton up, 2-0.

Said losing manager Zhu Yu: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."

With the victory, the Dundies upped their record to 26-18.
