Knights Secure 4-1 Win
|
Jack Retallick was nothing short of phenomenal for the Charlotte Knights. The 23-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Scranton Dundies, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Retallick, now 6-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Chance Ortmeyer.
Charlotte took control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and a runner on 2nd, Bruce Elliott hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Knights.
"I thought we played a nice game," Elliott told the Charlotte Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
Charlotte has won 4 straight, while Scranton has lost 5 in a row.
