Bats Earn 3-2 Win Versus Stripers
|
Gwinnett got a valiant performance from pitcher Joe Velasco, but it wasn't enough to beat the Louisville Bats. Louisville won the game, 3-2. Velasco threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The Bats improved to 20-24.
Vinicius Ressureio's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning was a big one for Louisville. Coming to bat with one out, runners on 1st and 3rd and Louisville trailing 1-0, the right fielder hit a run-scoring single.
"Winning never gets dull," said Ressureio.
