The Pawtucket Red Sox weathered a fine game by Rochester shortstop Sean Best to upend the Norsemen, 7-6, at Frontier Field. Best was 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. After today's action, Pawtucket sits at 19-18, while Rochester falls to 17-20.

Delbert Richardson came through with a big-time hit for Pawtucket. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Pawtucket skipper Daniel Holcombe.
