Clippers Turn Back Oddballs, 4-2
Starting pitcher Nolan Bush had a solid game. He was a big reason the Columbus Clippers throttled the Ottawa Oddballs, 4-2. Bush picked up the win for Columbus, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Yoennis De Los Santos, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

The Clippers got a big hit from second baseman Yair Rodríguez. Facing Ottawa pitcher Danny Brand in the top of the sixth, Rodríguez pounded a solo home run to left-center. His 4th home run of the season put the Clippers ahead, 3-1.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Columbus manager Joaquin Hoogerwerf. "It's usually not just one thing."

With the win, the Clippers improved to 20-17.
