Pawtucket Upended, 6-3, by Ottawa
|
Ottawa parlayed a decent outing from starter Kameron Clark into a solid win over the Pawtucket Red Sox. The final score was 6-3. Clark, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Blake Robertson sewed up the save, his 7th.
Carlos Castillo had a big 2-run home run for the Oddballs in the top of the second inning. With Ottawa leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Dom Williams and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Oddballs on top, 3-0.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Clark.
The win makes Ottawa 18-19.
