The Syracuse Chiefs got a strong performance from pitcher Lloyd Silva. Spiderman stymied the Scranton offense en route to a solid, 6-0 win at PNC Field. Silva, now 2-1, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing no runs. The win puts the Chiefs at 25-12, while the Dundies drop to 24-13.

Syracuse center fielder Ben Salazar contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Chiefs ahead, 4-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Salazar said.
