Ashton Woznick was a major factor in the 7-2 Syracuse win over Buffalo. The Chiefs third baseman went 1-3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bob Beam earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. His record is now 2-0. The loss makes Buffalo 20-17.

Syracuse used a well-timed hit by Toby Wheeler to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Chiefs ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Woznick told the Syracuse Daily News.
