Mud Hens Turn Away Knights, 7-5
The Toledo Mud Hens beat the Charlotte Knights, 7-5, at Hustlers Stadium. Bill Marsh, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Edgardo Gil, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-2. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Isaac Hinton locked down his 5th save.

Cachi Rodriguez, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Rodriguez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Toledo up, 1-0.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Rodriguez told a Toledo News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

The Mud Hens move to 15-20 with the win, while the Knights drop to 16-19.
