Bulls Get Clonked by Clippers, 6-1
|
Columbus Clippers starter Dedrick McAdoo was on his game, helping his team beat the Durham Bulls, 6-1. The first-place Clippers now have a win-loss record of 23-13.
Ferdinand Puello had a big 3-run home run for the Clippers in the bottom of the second inning. With Columbus leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 35-year old right-handed pitcher Richard Badger and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Clippers on top, 5-0.
"We didn't play well enough to win," Durham skipper Omar Garcia said.
