Bats Take Down Clippers, 6-3
|
Thanks in large part to designated hitter Jonas Arron, the Louisville Bats beat the Columbus Clippers, 6-3. Arron was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kent Riggs snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-2 on the season. Cash Cunningham suffered the loss. Sugar Ray Bivins earned save number 2 this season.
Early in the game, Arron had a 3-run home run for Louisville. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Bats on top, 4-1.
Arron attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
The 6th-place Bats are now 14-18, the Clippers 22-10.
