Charlotte Scrapes Out 4-2 Win
The Orlando Wizards could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Roarke Ambrose into a win. Instead, the Charlotte Knights prevailed, 4-2. Ambrose threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The winner in relief was Hadden McJunkin. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-3. John Kenney finished to wrap up his 1st save.

Charlotte needed the clutch hitting of Ben Howell to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Knights on top, 4-2. For the game, Howell had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Howell called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
