Birmingham picked up a win at Raley Field, bumping off the Ottawa Oddballs, 5-0. Pitcher Mijail Kuester was a major reason the Barons emerged victorious. The Barons, at 21-10, sit in first place in the International League Southwest Division.

The Oddballs had trouble solving Kuester, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Kuester.
