The Louisville Bats claimed a close win over the Newark Bears, due in large part to Jared Overstreet. The Louisville right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 1-0 win. Overstreet picked up the win for Louisville, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Louisville now owns a record of 11-20.

The Bats got a big at-bat from first baseman William Stewart. For the game, Stewart was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Louisville a 1-0 lead.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Stewart said after the game.
