Mets Excels, But Tides Win
The Norfolk Tides outlasted Alex Mets and the Buffalo Bisons, 8-7. Mets was impressive in the loss. The Buffalo left fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Norfolk is 18-12 and Buffalo, with the loss, 14-16.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Cody Betancourt? The Norfolk catcher had a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tides on top, 8-7. For the game, Betancourt had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Norfolk skipper Justin Higginbotham.
