Scranton Dundies left-hander Dennis Amalla pitched a good game against the Wilkes-Barre Barons at PNC Field, leading his team to victory, 5-3. Josh Knowles stitched up the save, his 7th. Scranton leads the International League Northeast Division by 3 games.

Had Glenn Pichardo not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Pichardo hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Dundies.
