On Road, Scranton Drops Ottawa, 10-2
|
Scranton starter Ethan Lyon kept the Ottawa hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 10-2. Lyon, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. The defeat makes Ottawa 14-11.
Dan Aronson had a big grand slam home run for the Dundies in the top of the fifth inning. With Scranton leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he sized up a cutter from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Anthony Dunn and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Dundies on top, 8-1.
Ottawa manager Jorge Castillo called the blowout loss "not what we wanted."
