Barons Slap 8-3 Loss on Red Sox
|
The Wilkes-Barre Barons picked up a win, 8-3, over the Pawtucket Red Sox at McCoy Stadium. Alex Sabal led the charge. The Pueblo, Colorado native went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Wilkes-Barre. The Red Sox, now 6-15, continue their inauspicious start.
Sabal had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Barons went on to win.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Sabal.
