Norsemen Wrest Win from Bears, 5-4
It took 13 innings, but the Rochester Norsemen were able to beat the Newark Bears, 5-4, at Frontier Field. Lance Cook provided some offensive muscle for Rochester. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. Rochester reliever Roland Mullins snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Frank McCoy shouldered the loss. The Norsemen, now 16-8, have been on a roll in the early going.

The decisive blow was delivered by Luke Ormond in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a run-scoring double off 33-year old right-handed pitcher Frank McCoy to win the game for Rochester. The home crowd went nuts.

"Now that's my kind of ending," said a smiling Cook.
