New York right fielder Benjamin Berret was sensational. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Atlanta beat the Yankees, 6-2. The winning pitcher was Mike Gardner. His record now stands at 4-3. The right-hander went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Braves. With the win, the Braves sit at 21-16.

Parker Linebaugh came through for Atlanta when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a two-strike sinker to left-center field, staking his team to a 3-2 lead.
