Dunstan Lifts Clippers to 6-3 Triumph
|
The Columbus Clippers knocked off the Buffalo Bisons, 6-3, at Huntington Park. Nick Dunstan was a big reason Columbus won. The center fielder went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Shannon Hadley nailed down the save. Columbus, now 16-7, has played well in the early going.
Dunstan contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Columbus in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Dunstan took a splitter from Cal Whitfield and stroked the home run to left-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Clippers to leap in front, 4-3.
"We did a lot of things right," said Dunstan.
