Bats Over Oddballs, 3-2
|
The Louisville Bats and Ottawa Oddballs played an entertaining game for Ottawa Ballpark patrons.
The Ottawa Oddballs got a superb performance from pitcher Mason Wells, but the Louisville Bats still won the game, 3-2. Wells threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Liam Cramer earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He upped his record to 1-1.
Louisville took a 3-2 lead on Preston Yajnavalkya's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Yajnavalkya hit in the top of the seventh, left Ottawa pitcher Simon Ingram visibly frustrated.
Yajnavalkya told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
The win leaves Louisville with a record of 8-11.
