Ares Trusky powered the Columbus Clippers to a win over the Toledo Mud Hens. The final score was 11-8. The Columbus second baseman was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Kayden Mikhailov came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Francisco Vergara collected his 1st save.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Clippers grabbed the lead when Trusky hit his 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Todd Layne made it 11-8, Columbus.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Trusky.

The loss drops Toledo to 6-9.
