Wilkes-Barre Barons right-hander Salvador Esparza pitched a good game against the Charlotte Knights at Coca-Cola Park, leading his team to victory, 4-3. Getting the save was Nick Porter, his 1st. With the loss, Charlotte sinks to 10-6.

The Barons got a big at-bat from catcher Dauri Martín. For the game, Martín was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Wilkes-Barre a 3-2 lead.
