Losing Trend Continues for Maine
|
The Louisville Bats took on the Maine Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park.
The Louisville Bats defeated the Maine Grizzlies by the score of 4-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Santiago Ochoa. Ochoa was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Bats on the day. Ken Cole picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-0 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 1 in 6 innings, while yielding 2 runs.
Louisville used the timely hitting of Terry Redden to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bats on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Redden told the Louisville News.
The loss drops Maine to 4-9.
