The Rochester Norsemen stifled the Syracuse Chiefs, 6-2, at Victory Field. Owen Celmer had his hitting cap on. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for Rochester. Celmer had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from Richard Gaither, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Norsemen a 4-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Celmer.
