The Rochester Norsemen got a whale of a performance from pitcher Harry D'Ambrose, but the Wilkes-Barre Barons still prevailed, 4-3, in 14 innings. D'Ambrose threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The loss drops Rochester to 2-3.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ennis Vasquez in the bottom of the 14th when he hit a run-scoring double off 32-year old left-handed pitcher Stewie Asher to win the game for Wilkes-Barre. The home crowd went nuts.

"This one wasn't over until it was over," Vasquez said, postgame.
