5-Hit Game for Foxley
A jubilant Raymond Foxley joined the postgame press conference at Raley Field to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Birmingham Barons pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Syracuse Chiefs left fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 15-6 Chiefs win.

"He made it look easy," said Steve Anderson, manager of the Barons. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Raymond Foxley flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Joel Kneedler in the 8th and hit a two-run triple in the 9th.

For the year, Foxley has hit .391 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs.
