Bats Win, 7-2, Extend Hot Streak
|
Louisville starter Ray Davis pitched well against the Birmingham Barons at Raley Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-2. The win gives Louisville a record of 6-1.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mathew Varga? The Louisville designated hitter had a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bats on top, 7-2. For the game, Varga had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Birmingham manager Steve Anderson.
