The Toledo Mud Hens overcame a pretty good performance by Norfolk right fielder Farid Cruz, beating the Tides, 7-4, in 11 innings. Cruz was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Toledo reliever Chris Campbell got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Weston Giza was tagged with the loss. Toa Toetu was credited with the save for Toledo, his 1st of the season.

Ofelio Delgado went 2 for 6 with 2 singles. He scored 3 times for Toledo. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the 11th. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Weston Giza. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

In postgame comments, Delgado said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.

With the win, Toledo climbs to 2-3.
